Penn College Summer Commencement Set for Aug. 8

A Summer Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, for the nearly 250 Pennsylvania College of Technology students who have petitioned to graduate after the summer sessions.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.

Andrew R. Christoffel, of Lancaster, has been selected as the student speaker for the ceremony. He will be awarded a bachelor's degree in environmental technology management.

During the ceremony, the college will present a Mentorship Award, which recognizes alumni and/or businesses that have made significant or ongoing contributions to the education and development of Penn College students.

Degrees will be conferred by Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour, accompanied by Board of Directors Chairman Robert E. Dunham.
