Penn College Students Sweep 'Iron' Competition

"Christian" Lampe, IV.Six members of the Penn College Power Lifting Team participated in the International Powerlifting Association's Iron Legion Power Meet at the Fitness Factory in Williamsport on Saturday. The Ironman portion of the competition was both bench press and deadlifting. Most of the competitors were first-time lifters. "They did extremely well and we had a lot of fun," said coach Emmanuel A. Balaguer (who also provided the photo). "Penn College should be proud of these student-athletes, they conducted themselves professionally." All six team members –  Logan T. Beidleman, of Hope Mills, North Carolina; Amanda M. Brodecki, of Levittown; Aaron B. Cusatis, of Collegeville; Harold C. "Christian" Lampe IV, of Phoenixville; Aubin I. Sevrin, of Lehighton; and Jonathan L. Zechman, of Cleona –  placed first in their weight class, and Brodecki placed second for women's overall.
