Penn College Student-Athletes Earn USCAA Postseason Accolades

A number of Pennsylvania College of Technology fall sports student-athletes have received postseason honors from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Earning All-American honors in addition to men's cross-country runner Jake Shedden (freshman/Canton), who finished second in the USCAA individual championship, was women's soccer player Kierstin Steer (sophomore/South Williamsport). Receiving honorable mention were women's soccer player Samantha Wallish (junior/Harrisburg) and men's soccer players Tristan Smith (freshman/Bermuda) and Chris Brennan (freshman/New Hope).

Honored as USCAA Academic All-Americans (with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher) were men's cross-country runners Corvin Oberholtzer (junior/Wellsboro), Brian West (senior/Newark, Del.), Joe Chadowski (sophomore/Fairfax, Va.), Travis Cain (sophomore/Bloomsburg) and William Fuka (sophomore/Clifton, Va.), women's soccer players Wallish and Brandy Krause (sophomore/Pine Grove), women's volleyball players Paula Karine-Monteiro (freshman/Brazil) and Lyndsey Smith (junior/Mechanicsburg) and tennis player Rachel Emmons (junior/Washington, N.J.).

Earlier, it was announced that men's soccer players William DeAngelo (junior/Dallas), Isaac Hostetter (sophomore/Lebanon), Clayton Bretz (senior/New Bloomfield), Chris Rougeot (sophomore/Torrington, Conn.), Ben Shade (sophomore/Fleetwood) and Daniel Shaffer (junior/Shermans Dale) had been named USCAA Academic First Team All-Americans.
