Student acts are invited to take part in "Penn College Star," billed as the biggest talent show to ever hit campus, when it begins later this month. The competition – sponsored by Student Activities, the Residence Life Office and the Off-Campus Housing Organization – is a series of three shows, culminating in a Klump Academic Center Auditorium finale with $500 in prizes. The first show will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Dauphin Hall Lobby. The top five finalists will get an automatic bid into the final show, scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. The bottom five acts will have the opportunity to compete again at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in Penn’s Inn, where they will be challenged by five wild-card acts. That evening's top five acts, as determined by faculty/staff and alumni judges, will also move on to the ACC show. Do you have what it takes? If you are talented and want to participate, email ocho@pct.edu to register. Shows will be limited to the first 10 acts who sign up. Organizers are looking for diversity in talent, so bring your best!
