In the only basketball action for Pennsylvania College of Technology last week, the men’s team hosted Rochester (Mich.) College, the defending United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division I champion. Meanwhile, Wildcat wrestlers participated Sunday in the Lock Haven University MatTown Open.

Men’s Basketball
At home on Monday, freshman Vincent Mauck, of Philadelphia, scored 15 points for Penn College in an 86-56 loss to Rochester College that dropped the Wildcats to 0-5. Mauck was the only Penn College player hitting double figures as the scoring was spread among 10 others. Laquinn Thompson, of York, led the Wildcats with five rebounds.

The only other scheduled games, men and women at Alfred (N.Y.) University on Tuesday, were postponed due to snow until Dec. 8. After a break for the Thanksgiving holiday, Penn College’s basketball teams are scheduled to begin Penn State University Athletic Conference play Tuesday at Penn State York.

Wrestling
Competing with some of the best wrestlers in the nation, 12 Penn College grapplers dropped both of their matches in the Mat Town Open.
