Pennsylvania College of Technology’s radiography program was granted another eight years of accreditation – the maximum duration that may be awarded – by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation for the accreditation of educational programs in radiography. Accreditation by the JRCERT offers significant value to institutions by providing peer evaluation and to the public by assuring quality professional education in the radiologic sciences.
Penn College offers an associate degree in radiography that prepares students to become registered medical radiographers. Students receive on-campus training in a modern, digitally equipped radiographic laboratory and learning center, under the supervision of qualified faculty, and in the radiology departments of affiliate hospitals. Coursework prepares students to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists’ examination.
After earning an associate degree in radiography, students can continue their education at Penn College to earn a bachelor’s degree in applied health studies. Bachelor’s level coursework is available online and on campus.
