Penn College Library to Host Program on Reggio Emilia Preschools

The educational approach of the renowned preschools in Reggio Emilia, Italy, will be the topic of a program to be presented Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Library.

“The Best Preschools in the World? A Visit to Reggio Emilia” will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. by Karen Woland Payne, director of the Children’s Learning Center at Penn College.

Payne traveled to Reggio Emilia in October as part of a study group of more than 200 educators from around the world. She will describe her visit to the municipal preschools and infant-toddler centers of the unique city.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The library is located in the Learning Resources Center on the main campus at Penn College. For more information, visit on the Web or call (570) 327-4523.
