For the first time, Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Hospitality is offering an opportunity for anyone over the age of 12 to attend the Holiday Pastry Buffet prepared by students enrolled in the college's baking and pastry arts major.

A limited number of tickets are available for the Holiday Pastry Buffet, to be held from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, in the Capitol Lounge of the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $12.50 for children ages 12-16; children must be at least 12 years old to be admitted. Tickets are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the college's School of Hospitality and the Community Arts Center.

The Holiday Pastry Buffet, for which students in the Pastry Food Show and Buffet Presentation course showcase their final projects, will feature an assortment of European-style cakes, tarts, pastries, petit fours and desserts. The event will be held just prior to that evening's performance of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" on the Community Arts Center stage, for those who may be interested in attending both the pastry buffet and the play.

Tickets for the Holiday Pastry Buffet may be purchased by calling the Arts Center box office at (570) 326-2424 or (800) 432-9382.
