Penn College held its Summer Commencement ceremony Saturday at the Community Arts Center. Jasmine Elmore, of Jersey Shore, who received an associate of applied science degree in emergency medical services from the School of Health Sciences, was the student speaker. During the ceremony, the college also presented an Excellence in Teaching Award to Carol J. Kafer, associate professor of biology, and Mentorship Awards to Karl Quinn/Alban Tractor Co. Inc. and David A. Potts/The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. for their significant or ongoing contributions to the education and development of students.
