A Bison Battalion cadet shows his mettle during weekend challenge Over the past weekend, a team of 10 cadets from Penn College, Lycoming College, and Bucknell, Bloomsburg and Susquehanna universities represented the Bison Battalion Army ROTC Program in this year's Second Freedom Brigade Ranger Challenge. The three-day competition, held at Camp Smith, N.Y., included a plethora of demanding events designed to evaluate each team's ability to maintain attention to detail under constant physical duress. Bison Battalion Ranger Challenge cadets proved their ability to train and perform in the worst of conditions, finishing in the top three in numerous events. The Bison Battalion placed second divisionally and 17th overall out of the 42 ROTC host schools and two military academies in the Second Freedom Brigade.
