No. 1 in golf. No. 1 in men's soccer. No. 1 in men's cross-country. No. 1 in tennis. No. 1 in baseball.

To say that Pennsylvania College of Technology athletic teams dominated the Penn State University Athletic Conference during the 2008-09 school year would be an understatement. But in recognition of the Wildcats' achievements, the college has been awarded the first Chancellor's Cup.

The Chancellor's Cup is given to the school that earns the most points throughout the year. Points are awarded for the finish of each team, and Penn College garnered 75.5 points to far outdistance runner-up Penn State Beaver, which finished with 62 points.

In addition to its PSUAC championship teams, Penn College finished second in softball and second in women's cross-country, and its men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team all advanced to the conference quarterfinals.

For the school year in all PSUAC sports, Penn College teams posted 150 wins, 32 losses and one tie, a .820 winning percentage.

"Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, coaches and everyone that supported our teams throughout the year," remarked Douglas T. Byerly, Penn College athletic director.
