Part-Time Openings Announced for Food Services Student Liaisons

The Human Resources Office announces two openings for part-time positions as Food Services Student Liaisons.

The Student Liaisons will conduct surveys, observe quality and efficiency of service while dining, and meet with student groups on campus to improve and sustain the quality of food services.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Penn College and have lived on campus and been on a meal plan for two semesters prior to this position.
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing and remain as such throughout the academic year
  • Ability to work effectively with people
  • Ability to perform simple tasks following oral instructions
  • No outside commitments that would interfere with performing the duties and responsibilities of this position
  • Must have a positive interest in helping Penn College Food Services
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff and the public
  • Knowledge of portion control serving or ability to be trained
  • Knowledge of computerized register or ability to be trained to use accurately
  • Developed sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues

Background check will be required on selected candidates.

Position is a one-academic year assignment beginning Sept. 8, or as soon thereafter as feasible, through the end of April. Position will work 11 to 12 hours per week, during the fall and spring semesters. Flexibility in scheduling will be required to meet the needs of the incumbent and Food Services.
