PA Students Assist With Health Festival

    Penn College physician assistant students administer blood pressure checks during Susquehanna Health System's Health Festival.Junior-year students from Penn College's physician assistant program participated in Susquehanna Health System's Health Festival, held April 22 at the Lycoming Mall in Muncy.

    Under the supervision of PA-C program staff Paula D. Holmes, program coordinator, and Kathleen A. Wiegand, clinical coordinator, the students performed more than 200 blood-pressure checks.

    In addition to the blood-pressure screenings, the PA students provided wellness education and discussed the Penn College educational experience. In all, 20 PA students participated in this community service.The WILQ rooster was among those having their blood pressures checked.
