Results of a myPCT portal survey to decide the name of the Penn College athletic mascot were announced during this past weekend’s Homecoming activities, and the winner is … “The Wildcat!” A total of 439 members of the campus community anonymously participated in the selection, making their choices among the four nominees: “Pride the Wildcat,” “Victor the Wildcat,” “Victor E. Wildcat” and the winning name, which drew 43 percent of the vote. The five-month “Name the Wildcat” project, undertaken by Student Government Association President Adam Yoder and four members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, ended with the official announcement during a break in Saturday’s soccer action near The Wildcat’s Field House home.
