    Andrew Pietrangelo, presenter for Applied Controls, demonstrates cutting-edge sensor technology.Applied Controls Inc. presented a half-day workshop Friday in the College Avenue Labs for faculty and students in electronics and manufacturing majors, as well as for representatives of local manufacturing companies. The free workshop covered Cognex quality-assurance products and included demonstrations of how vision sensors can be used to gauge, guide, identify and inspect products while reducing manufacturing costs. Seven local manufacturers were represented.
