North Campus to Offer Free Seminar on Distance Learning

"Getting a Degree Using the Internet," a free seminar on distance-learning options available through Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be offered Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the College's North Campus near Wellsboro.
The presenter for the 7-to-9-p.m. program will be Jennifer McLean, director of instructional technology and distance learning at Penn College.
Topics to be addressed include: what's involved in distance learning, the preparation needed, technical requirements, time commitment, finding the right program, support services, and accreditation issues, among others. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
The North Campus is located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield.
