North Campus to Offer ‘Computer Camp’ for Adults 55-Plus

Adults age 55 and over who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course being offered in June at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus near Wellsboro.

This easy beginners’ class, which is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays, June 20 and June 27, in the North Campus Computer Lab.

The instructor for Computer Camp for Seniors will lead participants through entertaining games, emailing friends and family, surfing the Internet, social networking, basic word-processing for letter-writing, and other enjoyable and practical applications.

The cost for the class is $79. No computer knowledge is necessary. Coffee breaks are included.

The North Campus is located on Route 6, three miles east of Wellsboro. Convenient, street-level and handicap-accessible parking is available at the rear of the building.
