North Campus to Offer Basic Computer Course for Adults Over 55

Adults 55 and older who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course being offered in June at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro.

This easy beginners' class, which is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 5, and Thursday, June 8.

Instructor John Delaney will lead participants through entertaining games, e-mailing friends and family, surfing the Internet, buying and selling merchandise on eBay, basic word-processing for letter-writing, and other enjoyable and practical applications.

The North Campus is located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield. Convenient, street-level parking is available at the rear of the building.

The cost for the class is $69. No previous computer knowledge is necessary. Coffee breaks are included. To register or receive more information about the class, call (570) 724-7703.
