North Campus Practical Nursing Program Seeks Applicants

The practical nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s North Campus near Wellsboro is scheduling pre-admission testing for the next class, which begins in January.

Pre-admission testing must be completed before the application process begins. All applications must be submitted by Oct. 1.

The yearlong, full-time program is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College. It prepares graduates for career opportunities in area hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, personal-care facilities and human-service organizations.

Students attend classes at the North Campus, located along Route 6 between Mansfield and Wellsboro, and have clinical experiences at Laurel Health System facilities including Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital and The Green Home. Other long-term care clinical experiences are performed at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The North Campus program is fully approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Students who successfully complete the program are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-PN) for licensure as an LPN.

For more information about the application process, admission requirements or financial aid, call the North Campus at 570-724-7703 or visit online .
