Noncredit Course Aims to Enhance Client Relationship Skills

Businesspeople who desire to build their client relationship competence can benefit from a two-day noncredit course scheduled in December by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

“Enhancing Client Relationship Skills: Creating Win-Win Situations” will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12 in the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college’s main campus. This intensive series is for technical specialists, product leaders, service providers, customer relationship representatives and business owners, among others. The cost is $325.



The first session, “Developing Your Client Relationship Advantage,” will focus on knowing your product or service; understanding client needs; developing win-win solutions; understanding buyer influences; creating opportunities by enhancing your value proposition; forecasting, planning, and prospecting for clients; prioritizing time; knowing your competition; and promoting innovation and new product initiatives.

Session two, “Building Advanced Client Relationship Skills,” includes enhancing communication and interpersonal relationship skills, communicating effectively with clients, identifying the decision maker, honing negotiation and influence skills, framing client expectations, using technology to boost the pipeline and track results, resolving problems and interpersonal conflicts, providing excellent service, and managing client relationships and projects.
