The first “Water Day” of the season – and the hoped-for start of many more – was held Wednesday at the Dunham Children’s Learning Center at Penn College. Honoring a long-standing tradition, teachers got out the sprinklers, sponges and spray bottles; children changed into bathing suits and water shoes; and everyone celebrated an event that is perhaps as eagerly awaited as summer itself.
