Nicole M. Sailor Selected as SGA's 'Student of the Month'

Nicole M. Sailor, an applied human services major from Williamsport, has been chosen as the Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Scheduled to graduate in May 2015, Sailor has been a student member and subgroup leader of the Early Childhood Education Center's Middle States Steering Committee for reaccreditation. She also works in the college's Madigan Library, has been active in the Human Services Club, and was selected by faculty to be a mentor to incoming students.

"She demonstrates professional and ethical behavior in the classroom, has an excellent academic record, and always takes time to mentor and assist classmates. She balances multiple roles as a full-time student, mother and college hire ...and finds time to assist classmates in need and to participate in extracurricular activities."

An active mentor for the past two years, Sailor is a recipient of he James Hannis Human Service Memorial Scholarship.

Student Government Association recognition is bestowed numerous times each academic year based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement. Nominations from faculty/staff and other students are strongly encouraged.
