New Library Featured on Contractor’s Billboard Along Route 15

Lobar billboard features college's Madigan Library Penn College’s Madigan Library is featured on a billboard commemorating the 40th anniversary of Lobar Inc., the general contractor for the newest building at the college’s main entrance. The sign along Hastings Street (Route 15 North) in South Williamsport showcases the magnificent library and its now-familiar red exterior wall, which became an instant landmark when the facility opened on main campus for the Fall 2006 semester. The family-owned and -operated construction firm, based in Dillsburg and with a Williamsport office, this year jumped to the No. 6 slot among large companies in the annual “Best Places to Work in PA” rankings. “We are very proud of the Madigan Library project and are proud, as well, to display it,” said a company spokesperson, who noted a similar billboard has been erected closer to Lobar’s headquarters in southcentral Pennsylvania.
