Network Cleanup Time, Lab Software Requests Among ITS Reminders


ITS issues announcements, reminders for April.Dates to Remember AS/400 Downtimes Routine maintenance: April 9, from 7-9:30 a.m.

Housekeeping Reminders Faculty, prepare your computer lab software requests Please submit all computer lab software installation requests by April 14. Installation requests received after that point cannot be guaranteed for the start of Fall 2006 classes. Direct requests to the appropriate lab manager:

Network drive cleanup time Students and employees, please take a few minutes to delete old and unneeded files from your network drives (G, H, R, S). Don’t wait until you exceed your H: drive space limits and find you can’t save an important file. Get your software here! ITS reminds all employees of software agreements that extend to at-home use. Symantec AntiVirus is available as a free download(requires network user ID and password). Through a special agreement with Microsoft, employees who work from home on college-related documents can obtain a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 in ACC, Room 12 during normal business hours (you must present your Penn College ID).

AS/400 password reminder: Faculty, don’t wait until the day grades are due to make sure you can log in to the AS/400. Remember that AS/400 passwords expire every 180 days. Is it possible that yours has expired since last time you logged in? If your password hasn’t expired, but you suspect it will in the near future, take the time to change it today
