Myers Again Named PSUAC 'Wrestler of the Week'

Tyler MyersFor the third consecutive week and fourth time this year, Penn College junior wrestler Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the period ending Feb. 3.  At 157, Myers went 3-1 with three pins on the week that included a second-place finish at the Jayhawk Open in Jamestown, N.Y.  In the championship bout, he was edged out by Tyler Button of Edinboro in a 10-9 decision. Myers has been dominant so far this year, posting a 20-2 overall record with 16 pins.  He is ranked third in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association 157 class. Myers and the Wildcats travel to Bucknell University on Friday for preliminary bouts starting at 5 p.m.
