Musical Entertainment Resumes at CoffeeHouse

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s popular CoffeeHouse Series of musical performances continues Tuesday, Feb. 20, with a show presented by guitarist Edgar Cruz.

Cruz is a guitar wizard who captures the sounds of an entire band and reduces them to a single guitar. The show begins at 8 p.m. in the CoffeeHouse, located on the first floor of the Bush Campus Center at Penn College.

The CoffeeHouse programs, which are sponsored by the Student Activities Office at Penn College, are free and open to the public. Other shows in the series, all of which will begin at 8 p.m. at the CoffeeHouse, are:

Tuesday, March 6

Paul Brubaker

Paul Brubaker will present a mix of his own edgy, backhandedly romantic tunes, complemented by covers of material by Ben Folds Five, They Might Be Giants and Elvis Costello.

Tuesday, March 27

Beth Wood

Beth Wood’s lyrical and melodic hooks give her songs a real pop element. Her music features a diverse range of pop and folk influences.

Tuesday, April 17

Michael Winger

Michael Winger’s vocal stylings compare with those of David Byrne, Bono and Tom Waits. He offers inventive music with an artful sense of melody and a pop-inspired core.
