Music Lovers Encouraged to ‘Cure the Blues’ at Penn College Event

A “Cure the Blues Jazz Fest,” among Black History Month activities at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Field House on the college’s main campus in Williamsport.

Sponsored by the Student Activities Office at Penn College, the event will feature a selection of jazz and blues artists, as well as “hot cocoa, food and fun to cure those winter blues.”

The tentative schedule of performances kicks off with Blue Magnolia at 2 p.m. and continues with the Chuck Lambert Band at 3:15 p.m., Greg Burgess and Andy Seal at 4:30 p.m., the Ann Kerstetter Band at 5:45 p.m. and Project Natale at 7 p.m.

Admission, which includes food provided by the college’s Dining Services and the Bullfrog Brewery, is $3 for the general public and free to those with valid Penn College ID.
