Microsoft Office 2003 Available for Home, Personal Use

Microsoft Office 2003 is available for home computers through a "work from home" option from Penn College, as well as through direct purchase from Penn State's Computer Store, Information Technology Services reminds.
Work From HomeThrough a licensing initiative, employees* who work from home on college-related documents may install Microsoft Office 2003 on their home computers. The "work at home" section of the Microsoft Campus Agreement includes explicit terms of use.
Specifically, employees must agree to:
- Use the software for work-related purposes only
- Remove the software at the expiration of the agreement or immediately upon leaving employment at Penn College, whichever occurs first
- Install the software on only one home computer
Full-time and regular part-time employees who want to install the software at home must present a valid employee ID and sign a "Microsoft Campus Agreement Work at Home Acceptance Form." Employees can obtain the forms and software from the ITS Help Desk (ACC, Room 12) during normal business hours.
Personal-Use PurchasesEmployees who want to install Microsoft Office 2003 on their home computers for personal use may do so by ordering the software through Penn State's Computer Store. The software is offered at a substantial discount to all employees of the college.

Microsoft Office 2003 requires Windows 2000 or higher. The software cannot be installed on a computer running Windows 95, 98, or ME.
* Eligible employees include full-time faculty/staff, regular part-time staff and part-time (adjunct) faculty.
