'Cat Tales Men's BasketballMatt Melusky (Minersville) scored 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a win over Penn State New Kensington. Tony Flint (Port Allegany) added 16 points and Nick Reynolds (Athens) 13 for the Wildcats.
Women's BasketballTrailing by 12 points at halftime, the Lady Wildcats rallied to knock off Penn State New Kensington. Brittany Blessard (Renovo) scored 19 points and Katlyn Stupar (State College) added 17 to pace the offense. Natali Plavi (Elderton) scored 12 points, Rose Crowell (Temple Hills, Md.) hauled in 10 rebounds while Amy Fassett (Athens) had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals.
