Senior Day honors men's volleyball players A Wildcat warmup Alumni return to the courtPenn College continued its tradition of honoring soon-to-graduate members of its athletics teams, recognizing men's volleyball players in Saturday's Senior Day festivities. Honored in Bardo Gymnasium by coach Wes Strayer and assistant coach Denny Smith were, from left, Shawn Wesche (6), joined by his parents, David and Candace Wesche; Cody Goss (8), escorted by parents Jeff and Cathy Goss; and William "Brady" West, accompanied by his mother, Becky Koch, and stepmother Jeanie West. "Today is about three outstanding seniors, who I consider myself lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to get to know in both a coach/player relationship and on a personal level," Strayer said. "I consider the team 'my kids' and it is hard to see three outstanding young men leave, but all three have shown maturity, leadership and dedication to their chosen profession and I know each will be successful in the next phase of their lives." The evening included Wildcat volleyball action against Villanova and the return of five former players Adam Peck, Cody Umberger, Kyle Flook, Matt Staub and Phil Neiderer for an alumni match.
