College connections abound in CTL castA faculty member, two alumni and a current Penn College student are among the cast members of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," Stephen Sondheim's Tony-winning musical farce, opening this week at the Community Theatre League at 100 W. Third St. Helping to advance the plot – full of "twists, turns, mistaken identity, slamming doors and a showgirl or two" – are Thomas G. Degan (2009, building construction technology) as Pseudolus; Keith A. Wagner (2002, computer information technology: data communications and networking concentration) as Senex; Renee M. Chamberlin, a graphic design major from Muncy, as Tintinabula; and Brian M. McKeon, assistant professor of biology, in multiple roles. In another college connection, scaffolding was borrowed from the School of Construction & Design Technologies to aid in set-building. The show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sept. 26-28, and at 2 p.m. Sept. 29.
