Maryland Contractor Establishes Construction Management Scholarship

A Maryland firm aims to assist construction management students at Pennsylvania College of Technology through a newly established scholarship fund.

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. of Baltimore recently finalized the agreement for the scholarship at Penn College. Preference for the $1,000 annual awards from the Whiting-Turner Scholarship will be given to students who:

  • Are enrolled full time, sophomore status or above
  • Are enrolled in the School of Construction and Design Technologies' construction managementmajor (BCM bachelor of science degree)
  • Are eligible for financial aid and meet the college's academic-performance requirements

The Whiting-Turner Scholarship will begin generating awards in the Fall 2006 semester.
