Marriage of Two Events Leads to (Temporary) Honeymoon From Studying

For the second year in a row, the Off-Campus Housing Organization, Wildcat Events Board and Penn College’s Community Assistants combined two popular campus traditions – the former Vine Avenue block party and the WEBstock festival – to create one huge end-of-semester bash. Friday’s carnival-themed WEBstock Block Party attracted more than 560 students for corn dogs, cotton candy and tickets that could be redeemed for a variety of prizes. Carnival games included the ring toss, duck pond and fishbowls (many students walked away with new pets!); featured bands were Reverse Order, a recent finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” and Scarletta. Helping with this year’s event, held north of the Klump Academic Center, was the Students of Musical Development organization.
