Marcellus Career Expo

More than two dozen companies operating in the region’s natural gas industry were on hand to discuss job opportunities during the public Marcellus Career Expo of North Central PA from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 1 in Penn College’s Field House. The Workforce Development & Continuing Education and Marcellus Shale Education & Training Center offices, in conjunction with the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and Lycoming County CareerLink, hosted the phenomenally well-attended event. The Expo was preceded by an April 30 information session at the Community Arts Center, which included presentation of certificates to those completing the FIT 4 Natural Gas program that teaches the basic skills required for work in the gas industry.
