Josh Longsderff Sophomore Josh Longsderff (Columbia), who tossed Penn College's first-ever perfect baseball game Friday, was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference "Pitcher of the Week" for the period ending April 15. In his only start of the week against No. 6 Penn State Greater Allegheny, Longsderff struck out eight in the historic-making 6-0 victory that ended the opponent's 15-game win streak. This is his first weekly honor on the season. Longsderff started the season late after recovering from injury and, in three appearances, has a 2-0 record with a 1.00 ERA, 18 strikeouts and a .115 opponent batting average. The Wildcats are 16-9 in the season and are looking to make a strong run in the PSUAC for the postseason. Longsderff and the Wildcats next host Penn State Scranton for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. Thursday.
