Light Timers One Way to ‘Green Your Holidays’

This week’s “Green Tip” comes from Gail B. Landers, group leader at the Children’s Learning Center and a member of the Governance Energy Conservation Subcommittee: Tis the season to give, celebrate and renew. It only takes a small commitment to protect the environment and save energy. One simple way you can make a difference this holiday seasonis to use a timer on your house and tree lights. And, of course, the LED lights are best! For more ways to “Green Your Holidays,” check out, Making Every Day Earth Day. (Contacts for the “Green Tip of the Week” feature are Landers and Carl J. Bower Jr. , horticulture instructor.)
