Matco Tools' Jeff Wagner talks with students of Larry B. Leavitt, associate professor of automotive technology, in The College Store The College Store this week hosted a representative of Matco Tools, a lower-priced alternative first offered for sale during the fall semester. Matco Tool kits are available for the diesel equipment technology and Honda PACT majors, with other programs to be introduced for the 2011-12 academic year. Store director Matt P. Branca said students receive substantial discounts not only on the kits, but for add-on tools that are available in the store or through special order. Matco Tools purchased through The College Store come with lifetime warranties and, while on campus, students' warranty issues are handled by store personnel. Like The College Store's Snap-On program, Matco discounts are available to all full-time enrolled students, regardless of their major, as well as full-time and regular part-time college employees.
