Leiby, Fenton Earn PSUAC Weekly Honors

    Derek Leiby Scott Fenton Freshmen Derek Leiby (Troy) and Scott Fenton (Dickson City) each earned Penn State University Athletic Conference honors for the week ending Feb. 12. Leiby was named Wrestler of the Week, while Fenton was the Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Leiby competed at the PSUAC/United States Collegiate Athletic Association Invitational in State College, winning the 149 class and defeating the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the championship bout. Fenton helped the Wildcats to a 2-1 week totaling 46 points, 29 rebounds and five steals. This is the second honor for both student-athletes from the PSUAC on the year. Leiby and the wrestling squad continue the 2012 season with a trip to Valley Forge Military Academy for the National Collegiate Wrestling Association's Mid-East Conference Championships on Sat. Feb. 25. Fenton and men's basketball finished up the season Monday against Penn State Schuylkill and end the season 4-20 overall and 4-11 in the PSUAC.
