Lanessa L. Satteson Collision Repair 'Student of the Month'

Lanessa L. Satteson of Elimsport, a second-year student seeking an associate's degree in collision repair technology, has been chosen by the department faculty/staff as November's "Student of the Month."
"Lanessa is an extremely hard-working individual in everything she tackles, be it academics or live labs," remarked instructor Stephen T. Duna. "(She) is a tough, no-nonsense, get-it-done student. She is a pleasure to have in class and will succeed through her sheer strength of will."
In addition to carrying a full-time academic load, Satteson is a member and an officer of PCCustoms, the collision repair car club. She also is one of the student Service Advisers in the collision lab, where her responsibilities including meeting and greeting customers, writing vehicle-damage estimates, scheduling repairs, and following up on work for successful and timely completion of repairs.
Satteson was the recipient of the 2004 Akzo Nobel "Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry" scholarship award, the first first-place winner at the college undergraduate level since Akzo Nobel began recognizing women in 1999.
She also is active in sports and fitness and, Duna noted, "every once in a while will be seen trekking through the (College Avenue Labs) building in PT gear with a basketball under her arm.
"Lanessa can always be seen wearing a smile and has a kind word for all," he added. "She is very pleasant with fellow students, as well as instructors and customers."
