Jessica R. Wiegand Named Penn College ‘Student of the Month’

Jessica R. Wiegand, a business administration: marketing concentration major from Trout Run, has been chosen as September’s Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
A member of the Wildcat cross-country team and the Blue Crew campus-pride organization, Wiegand also works part time in the college’s Student Activities Office.
“Her involvement and dedication to this school go further than her academic capability and grade standards,” her nominator said. “Jessica shows true value in participating in multiple events, organizations and work for Penn College, all while achieving good grades. Her overall experience and knowledge are outstanding, while her personality and enthusiasm are energetic and contagious.”
In addition to being a student-athlete, she is a member of the College Women of Williamsport and Penn College's Awesome Women Exemplars, as well as the college Judicial Council, Student Government Association and Off-Campus Housing Organization.
Recognition is bestowed by SGA numerous times each academic year based on nominees’ commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement.
