ITS Provides Helpful Reminders, Notable Dates for December

Information Technology Services has issuedthese announcements and reminders for December:
Dates to Remember AS/400 All AS/400 screens and services, including the Employee Information System and Student Information System, will be unavailable from 7-9:30 a.m. Dec. 10 and all day Jan. 2.
Outlook Cutover On Dec. 22, employees and students will begin using Outlook to send and receive e-mail. Watch PCToday and your e-mail inbox for more information.
Housekeeping Reminders All students and employees are reminded to turn in empty printer cartridges to help raise scholarship money for Penn College students. See the Mail & Document Services Web site for details about drop-off locations and the brands of cartridges accepted.
Are you graduating in December? If so, ITS wants you to know that your network account, home (H:) drive space and e-mail account will be maintained for six months from graduation. After that time, your accounts will be deleted. In the coming months, be sure to transfer valuable documents, e-mail and contact information to an alternate location.
Faculty, please remember that the AS/400 is unavailable during the daily backup process, which takes place from 2:15-5:30 a.m. Please remember this schedule as you prepare to post grades. Also, please remove any unnecessary files from the R and S: drives before leaving for the holiday break. This will prevent students from experiencing problems while trying to submit assignments next semester.
