The move from the Penn College Library to the Roger and Peggy Madigan Library has begun! “The library staff is very excited to be moving into the beautiful and high-tech Madigan Library (and) cannot wait to get the Madigan ready for our students, faculty/staff and other members of the college community,” said Lisette N. Ormsbee, director. “There is a tinge of nostalgia as we say goodbye to this small library that has been home to some staff for over 20 years. But those same staff are also thrilled to be moving to the larger, bright and modern Madigan Library so we can better serve our patrons. I personally can’t wait to fling open those doors and say, ‘Welcome to your new library! We have been waiting for you!'” The current facility will close from July 22-Aug. 13, andits expansive successor will open Aug. 14. A public dedication is scheduled for Sept. 12.
