Industry Benefits From Forestry Training


Haglof Inc.Industry members with an interest in forest technology benefited from a free one-day seminar sponsored by Penn College and Haglof Inc. at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center on Tuesday. Attendees included Penn College faculty and members of both public and private entities, ranging from foresters and sawmill personnel to salesmen and Pennsylvania Game Commission employees. The training provided participants the opportunity to learn more about timber and log inventory-management systemsusing the latest equipment and software. Also demonstrated were ways in which Penn College can incorporate the latest technology into the forest technology major Haglof is an international company from Sweden; its American office is in Madison, Miss.
