Barbara B. HudockBarbara B. Hudock, of Williamsport, has been chosen to receive the Community Arts Center’s Director’s Chair Award for 2009.

Hudock, managing principal of Hudock Moyer Wealth Management, will be presented with the award May 17 at the Arts Center.

The award is bestowed annually to recognize and honor individuals who have had a significant impact on the success of the Community Arts Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pennsylvania College of Technology.

“Barbara is a splendid choice for the Director’s Chair Award,” said Penn College Senior Vice President William J. Martin, who serves as chair of the Arts Center’s board of directors. “She has been there from the very beginning as a patron, as a constant supporter and benefactor, and as a devoted member of the board. It is a delight to honor her not long after her well-deserved recognition by the Governor’s Awards for the Arts.”

During the 2008 Governor’s Awards for the Arts ceremonies, which were held in November at the Arts Center, Gov. Edward G. Rendell and First Lady Judge Marjorie O. Rendell presented Hudock with a Patron Award, an honor recognizing significant contributions to the vitality and availability of the arts in Pennsylvania.

She also was honored as one of Registered Rep’s “Top 100 Independent Advisors.”

Hudock’s team was featured prominently in the recently published book, “Winner’s Circle V: Wealth Management Insights From America’s Best Financial Advisory Teams.” The team also was profiled in “Wealth Management Teams” and in “The Trust Equation.” Hudock’s article “The Un-Sale!” was published in Advisor Today magazine and was selected as one of the best articles written over the 100-year history of the publication.

Hudock Moyer Wealth Management was chosen by Forbes magazine to receive a Forbes Enterprise Award in 2007. Hudock has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation for her donations to the organization.

Hudock, her team and her firm have been consistent and leading benefactors in the community, contributing more than $1 million to local charities in addition to making substantial commitments of time. Most team members serve on at least one local nonprofit board, and Hudock Moyer Wealth Management matches all charitable gifts made by its employees.

Hudock earned a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University and is a 2007 graduate of the Securities Industry Institute.

A formal portrait of Hudock in a director’s chair will hang permanently in the Arts Center’s Capitol Lounge.
