Penn College baking and pastry arts students will help provide the goodies for the Williamsport Civic Chorus’ “Coffee and Dessert” concert to be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Park Place, 800 W. Fourth St. The concert will feature songs about coffee and desserts, as well as appropriately coffee and wonderful desserts from the collegeand sixother local vendors. A special feature will be the appearance of VJQ (Vocal Jazz Quartet), fresh fromits Feb. 12appearance at the Community Theatre League. There will be two seatings for the dessert concert: 6 and 8 p.m. Discount advance tickets are available at Robert M. Sides Family Music Center and Otto’s Bookstore; $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors/students. (Tickets are $12/$10 at the door.) Barbara Albert, program specialist for early childhood education at Penn College, and alumnus Nicholas Buckman (2002. mass communications) have solos during the concert; Debra Buckman, assistant professor of environmental technology, also sings with the chorus.
