Horticulturalist Entreats Amateur Gardeners to ‘Know Your Enemy’


Carl J. Bower engages his audience Relevant books from the Madigan Library collection supplement the presentation On one of the first garden-friendly days of the season, horticulture instructor Carl J. Bower provided a helpful primer on invasive plants and how to discern whether to nurture or nix that beautiful backyard growth. “ Plants: Friend or Foe?” was the Spring 2011 Madigan Library Forum, held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday in the second-floor reading loft.
