Hornung Named USCAA, PSUAC Baseball 'Player of the Week'

Garrett Hornung Senior Garrett Hornung (Emporium) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the period ending April 1. Hornung helped lead the Wildcats to a 6-2 week, batting .583 (14-24) with 11 runs and four RBI. In the team's sweep of Penn State Fayette, he batted an impressive .857 (6-7) with three runs and three RBI. This is Hornung's first honor of the season. So far this year, Hornung leads the Wildcats in batting with a .434 (23-53) average. He has also racked up 12 RBI, five doubles, three triples and one home run. Penn College is 14-6 overall and 7-1 in the PSUAC.
