Honor Societies Conduct Successful 'Suitcases for Kids' Collection

Luke, faculty adviser to the Delta Mu Delta chapterMembers and advisers of the Delta Mu Delta and Alpha Chi national honor societies at Penn College recently collected about 80 new and gently used suitcases and duffel bags for use at Families United Network Inc. well beyond the 50-piece goal originally established for the local Suitcases for Kids drive. The program, begun through a chapter of Delta Mu Delta elsewhere, provides suitcases to adopted and foster children who otherwise carry their belongings in plastic or paper grocery bags. Both honor societies thank all the students, staff and faculty who contributed to a successful and worthwhile endeavor.
