Ford vehicles fill the Parkes Automotive Technology Center parking lot for Thursday's Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills competition With a well-stocked table of tools and manuals, one of the teams sets out to troubleshoot its 'bugged' vehicle Event logo is prominently displayed on competition vehicles Ten two-member teams of high schooljuniors and seniorstook part in the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills contest Thursday to decide who moves on to national competition next month. Teams were stationed in a parking lot outside the Parkes Automotive Technology Center, where they were charged with troubleshootingand repairing Ford vehicles that hadbeen "bugged" by a member ofPenn College's automotive faculty. This marked the first time in recent memory that a Pennsylvania public college hosted the hands-on portion of the competition, which followed an online exam administered in February.
