Healthy Wildcats Spurn Societal ‘Ideal’ in Favor of Self-Acceptance

“‘Look Beyond the Mirror’ Week,” Penn College’s annual promotion bringing awareness, vital health information and resources to the campus community regarding body image and disordered eating patterns, will be held April 15-19. In addition to information tables across campus, programming includes Operation Beautiful, in which participants can transform the way they see themselves, “one Post-It Note at a time;” Eat, Drink and Be Mindful, reintroducing the concept of “paying attention to what we eat, when we eat and why we eat;” and interactive health fairs at Nature’s Cove and outside the Keystone Dining Room. For details of the Healthy Wildcats-sponsored observance, consult the event poster: Look Beyond the Mirror
